Trouser number 2

TROUSERS 2

FABRIC: metallic jersey, £3 per meter

I was really uninspired by this fabric at first; it didn't suggest much to me in the way of garment shapes and forms. I decided to make a simple pair of leggings, with an elasticated waistband.

I found this fabric fine to work with; despite it being stretchy, it sewed fine on the sewing machine. I do not think that this garment worked very well as a solo piece and could be fashion with the addition of something extra, something with more individuality and character.

I was not very happy with the feedback I got for this garment though I can understand how the simplicity of the garment i.e. leggings can lack adventurous or excitement impressions.
